Mr. Kapiris was born and grew up in the village of Moni, in Naxos. He studied architecture in the National Metsovio polytechnic in Athens. After his graduation in 1974 he settled in Naxos where he opened his own planning and construction office. He has drawn up the architectural plans for 80% of the hotel units on the island of Naxos, which in the last five years has made notable progress in the field of touristic development.

His close relationship with the architectural tradition of the island helps to give his work an individual quality which seperates it from other architectural styles. His buildings, simple andfunctional, made to fit in with the environment and for the people who live in them, rise up amongst the memories of the past and the needs of modern day life. Houses and hotels which are at one with the people who live in them.

     The architectural heritage of Naxos, the island of the ancient Gods, lives up to the highest aesthetic and constuctional standards. Completely in harmony with it's natural environment and the way of life, the traditional architecture acts as a model and sets a standard for the modern day buildings.

The architect, Mr. Kapiris, has proved over the years that he treats the traditional style with respect but also with a spirit of renewal. He has pledged himself to create buildings of every type and size which are an ideal combination of the latest modern requirements and specifications together with the skills of the traditional craftsmen.
